I began my career as a visual artist over 30 years ago. Barely out of high school, I was given the opportunity to work as an apprentice in a graphic design studio. I had already been doing commercial illustration for three years, but the practical experience from learning from seasoned pros was priceless.
Since then, I've worked as a Graphic Designer (digital and print), Senior Art Director, Freelance Illustrator, Retouching Specialist, and Senior Photographer. I have extensive experience in each of these disciplines.
I started my own business after moving from the ad agency side of the fence. My offerings were illustration and graphic design (hence the name of my company). Several years later, though, I had transitioned to primarily photography and retouching, only doing design work on pet projects for "grandfathered" clients.
My unique range of experience in the visual communications industry sets me apart from many of my peers and associates through a better understanding and ability to communicate with clients and collaborators.
